Molly Hare Obituary

Molly May Hare
05/10/2011 - 04/17/24

Molly became family to us when she was 4 months old and we fell in love with
her immediately. She was the easiest, smartest pup and learned things so
quickly. She had a soft, sweet nature to her and anyone who met her became a
friend instantly. She loved to meet people and other fur babies. As she grew, she
responded to many names, such as, Molls, Mollsie, Nosey Rosey, Miss Sassy
Pants and Baby Girl.
She was naturally curious about everything and anything you were doing. She
knew everyone’s routines and made sure she was a part of them. She loved to
sit right at Momma’s feet while she cooked, and she especially loved getting her
homemade treats. She loved all sorts of foods, and never missed out on getting
her share. She was a Daddy’s Girl and loved to hang out in the shop, around the
garden and take walks with him. She used to lay at his feet and put one paw over
his foot as if to say “You’re not going anywhere.” No matter what was going on
you can be sure that Molly would be right in the middle of it all.
She had her own language of barks and yips and she taught us what they all
meant. She could speak to us in her way and we understood exactly what she
wanted/needed. We talked to her and hand many conversations and somehow
she always knew what was being said.
When she was younger she loved to play ball and frisbee with her Dad. She
would still try to play ball even when her body would fight with her to do it. She
had a ball that she would tote everywhere or hold onto when getting brushed and
bathed, both of which she loved. That beloved ball was the only toy she ever
claimed to be her own and it went with her to heaven.
We will miss the silly way you would buck your back legs when you knew you
were going to help get the mail, or the way you loved to get a good vacuuming
when the sweeper was brought out, and how you’d look at us with those big
brown eyes when we had a snack that you wanted, and we always gave.
She was a strong-willed soul and even with an amputation of her toe due to
cancer, then months later had to have her ACL repaired, she was still the
sweetest, strongest girl and recovered nicely from both operations. Then in
February this year she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. We were
devastated but it explained a lot of why she was acting so differently.

If only 5 more minutes to caress your soft, silky ears, fluff your bushy tail, kiss
you one more time and tell you that you were the absolute best girl and how
lucky we feel that you shared your precious soul with our family.
On a bright, sunny, breezy day, our sweet, beautiful Molly May crossed over the
Rainbow Bridge to meet up and play once again with her brother, Avery, who we
know she missed dearly. Mom and Dad were right by her side every step of the
way. Shine bright beautiful girl. We will watch for you in the stars.
She is survived by her fur-brother, Boone, her humans: parents, Cinda and Brian
Hare, her family, Heath, Jeff, Kristin, Alexis, Peyton, and Mikey. Her fur-cousins,
Bailey, O'Malley, and Cooper along with so many more friends and family who
met and fell in love with her.
